3/16/22:  TRAILS CLOSED

Trails are now closed for the season.  ATV's & 4-wheelers are not allowed on Childwold trails.  Big thumbs up for the best trails & best groomers & best volunteers!  Great job & Thank you for your support!!


3/11/22:  POOR

Currently we need snow & Mother Nature will be visiting us this weekend!  Snow is supposed to start after midnight Friday & go thru Saturday.

We are expecting anywhere from 1 - 15 inches!

THINK SNOW!!!


2/24/22:  FAIR

It was 50*, windy, rainy, got cold & snowed.

Same thing this week - but - we are expecting 12 inches new snow on Friday.

Beware trails can be boney, icey & maybe water.

S79 CARRIAGE ROAD IS CLOSED

WATER IS TOO HIGH & NOT PASSABLE

2/15/22:  GOOD!!!

It's cold!  All trails are being groomed.

Trails are flat & fast!

Tracks from Horseshoe Lake to Sabattis

groomed today - 10% rails showing.

2/9/22:  GOOD

Trails are being groomed everyday & the tracks were groomed today from Horseshoe Lake to Sabattis.  Report is they are good, with some rails showing.

Mother Nature is being warm & fuzzy for us -

please ride nice, slow down &

don't spin your tracks on the trails.

2/4/22:  GOOD!!!

We received 10 + inches new snow!

Groomers are out grooming all trails!

GET OUT & RIDE!!!


2/2/22:  GOOD

The groundhog saw his shadow...6 more weeks of winter AND there is a storm coming!

We will need all snow dancers,

so we can get 12 - 18 inches of snow!

THINK SNOW!!!


1/28/22:  GOOD!!!

Got 4 inches new snow.

All trails groomed & being groomed again!

Tracks from Horseshoe Lake to Sabattis were groomed last night - tops of rails showing in spots.

Logging is off C7C Massawepie Rd. - watch for equipment in area of Russell Rd. & Boy Scout parking lot.  Shurtleff/Sampson Pond is open.

Groomers are out there day & night,

slow down & stay right.

1/25/22:  GOOD!!!

We get some fresh snow every day

& the groomers are out every day!

Trail to Brandybrook groomed today

& Horseshoe Lake Reroute is getting better.

1/21/22 - GOOD

GOT COLD... -25 * this morning!

All trails groomed, except S88 Burnt Bridge &

C7 Remsen Corridor - not enough snow.

We have 10 - 12 inches of snow & base varies.  Be aware of objects that have minimal coverage.  Use caution - we have active logging operations as indicated on NYSSA Web Map.

THINK SNOW!!!


1/18/22 - TRAILS OPEN!

WS Izzy brought us about 6 inches new snow on top of 3 inches hardpack.  Tracks at Sabattis need more snow.  Groomers are out!  THINK SNOW!!!


1/5/2022 - TRAILS CLOSED

At this time, trails remain closed.  Trails currently have a minimal icy base & 3 inch snow total.  Crews are out checking trails for signage & debris.

WE NEED SNOW!!!


12/5/2021:  THINK COLD & SNOW!!!

Trails are closed & all gates remain locked.   When we get enough snow, after 12/15, groomers will get out to check trails.  We need cold & snow.



If you are looking to get out on the trails early, we need volunteers to help out with trail work, signing & brush clearing,

for the next few weeks.
